As I take time to simply attack the mess on my desk, I came across a prayer card my mother used as a bookmark. The card, “Prayer for a New Society,”

is from the Pax Christi USA national Catholic Organization. I believe my mother said the prayer regularly, it was in one of her daily reading books.

My mother believed in the power of prayer. She often said, “When all else fails pray.”

She often prayed for others, sometimes using formal prayers as shown above and other times in her own words. A special gift that my mother gave was prayer.
